Horse Care and Management

Our Horse Care and Management classes are designed for teens (ages 12 and up) who want to broaden their knowledge and experience in the horse world.

Participants may learn about horse markings, breeds, colors, basic first aid, lunging, stall maintenance, equine behavior and body language, long-lining, bathing, clipping, nutrition, tack fitting and care, leg wraps, blanketing, taking vital signs, course design, horse handling, trailer loading, hoof care, feed management, what to do in an emergency, barn design. The focus will always be on safety, fun, and learning.
