Equine Facilitated Learning

EFL (equine facilitated learning) is an educational approach that includes equine facilitated activities incorporating the experience of equine/human interaction in an environment of learning or self discovery. EFL encourages personal explorations of feelings and behaviors to help promote human growth and development.

Participants will explore the world of horses, learning how they communicate and what they need to be comfortable in their world with humans. Participants will gather and share information as they observe, groom, and handle their horse.

As their comfort level and competency grows, they will be encouraged to build on the skills they are learning to help their horse and to consider applying the skills to themselves and those around them.
