Stay tuned for 2010's date
Lida Bernard, Windrush volunteer, participant, board member and friend, will once again host her annual Estrogen Equestrian Trail Ride. The event takes place at Bradley Palmer State Park in Topsfield, MA.
The participants meet at 10am the park for a trail ride and walk (on foot).
There is no standard fee to participate in the ride / walk but we encourage each participant to raise at least $50 through personal donations and by collecting pledges from family, friends, neighbors, etc!. (Start a fundraising page!)
Traditionally the majority of the riders are women, hence the name, Estrogen Equestrians, however, a few males here and there have been known to join in.
The event is for riders who have their own horses, or supporters who wish to support Windrush by walking the trails. All are welcome!
At lunchtime Lida serves her homemade soup, salad and desserts. And boy, oh boy, are they fantastic; they make the day even more worthwhile. (Not to mention it’s for a good cause!)
Did you know Lida has been hosting this trail ride since 1998?
