Read the Brochure / Contact Susan to Learn More

Each child will have their own horse/pony for grooming, tacking, horse handling and care. Each 3 hour day will include a new equine activity designed to help the participants learn more about their horse friends through hands-on educational fun. These projects (which will be modified for age, abilities, and experience) may include:

  • Learn about horse parts as you give your horse a bath.
  • What do horses like to eat?
  • Make horse treats out of grain, fruits and vegetables.
  • Learn about horse breeds, colors, and markings then have a Scavenger Hunt to have fun with what you learned.
  • Equine first aid – explore an equine first aid kit, learn how to tell if your horse is sick and how to “bandage” his leg.
  • Learn about horse shoes – then make horse shoe picture frames for your horse’s picture.
  • Pony Costume Parade - Riders will paint and decorate their horses for the parade.
