Looking to volunteer at Windrush? Here are your steps!
- Check out our Types of Volunteer Opportunities to get a feel for what we actually do here!
- Complete a packet of New Volunteer Forms
You can register online or submit a printable version to Windrush by fax/mail/scan.
- Schedule/Attend an Orientation and Training!
All new volunteers, regardless of their background, must attend an O&T with the Volunteer Coordinator. This gives us an opportunity to review Windrush Farm’s methods and practices with incoming volunteers, and helps us to place volunteers to match their interests and strengths. This is also a requirement as part of our Premier Accreditation, through PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International).
Please check the Calendar of Events for upcoming Volunteer Orientation and Trainings, and contact the Volunteer Coordinator to reserve your spot! These one-time trainings last about three hours and will give new volunteers hands-on experience with our horses, go over a history of Windrush, and include a tour of our facility. Dress like you are coming to a horse farm, because you are!
