Farm Assistant (Part-time)

Windrush Farm is a leading therapeutic riding center based in North Andover, MA. Located on 38 acres of attractive fields and woodlands, the rural property is surrounded by conservation land.  This position aids in the successful operation of this non-profit organization that is focused on improving the lives of clients with disabilities.

The overarching responsibility is to help the Farm Manager provide a first-class environment for our therapy horses. Only healthy, happy horses can perform well in the programs

This position is for 20 hours a week, Monday through Friday and pays $20 per hour.  The schedule is flexible though morning hours are preferred.  Candidates must have their own transportation.

Responsibilties

Duties include mowing pastures and lawns, adverse weather preparation, snow removal, fixing fences, operating and maintaining machinery and tools.   

Qualifications

Previous farming/landscaping experience required, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
