Weekend Barn Supervisor

Windrush Farm, North Andover, MA

Windrush Farm is a leading therapeutic riding center based in North Andover. Located on 38 acres of attractive fields and woodlands, the rural property is surrounded by conservation land. We are a leading PATH Intl. Premier accredited center that strives to help its clients reach their full potential.  We are looking to hire a weekend Barn Supervisor who wishes to join a vibrant team and make a difference in our community.  This position is an essential component of our focus to improve the lives of clients with disabilities.

Overview:

The main responsibility of this position is to provide a first-class environment for our therapy horses. Only healthy, happy horses can perform well in the programs.

Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of the care of 20 horses
Supervise barn staff
Meet Barn Managers’ expectations of overall horse and barn care
Communicate weekend occurrences and updates to Barn Manager

Essential qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience with the care of horses
Experience with administering medications, wrapping, wound care
Familiar with key indicators of horses needing extra care or attention
Must be physically fit and able to lift at least 50 pounds

Preferred qualifications
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to multitask and meet deadlines
Flexible team player.
