Who We Serve

Who we Serve

At Windrush Farm we serve children and adults with special needs from aged 2 for hippotherapy and from aged 6 for therapeutic riding and horse related activities.

Our clients include those with a wide range of developmental, physical and emotional challenges including, but not limited to, the following:

• ADHD
• Autism
• Cerebral Palsy
• Down Syndrome
• Fragile X Syndrome
• Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
• Impaired Vision
• Multiple Sclerosis
• Spinal Cord Injury
• Traumatic Brain Injury

We also serve clients with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PSTD), survivors of human trafficking and underserved youth.

We serve clients from a wide range of organizations and local schools including Amesbury High School,  the Collegiate Charter Day School in Lowell, Kimi Nichols Center, Perkins School for the Blind, Spaulding Rehabilitation, St Ann’s Home, and the Community Group in Lawrence.

Windrush also offers riding lessons for those without special needs and we offer integrated classes whenever possible. Windrush offers the ideal opportunity to learn to ride on very well-trained school horses.
